OFSAA Alumni Event

Woodland is very excited to be hosting our first-ever OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) event this November 2024. We will welcome the top Senior Girls' (single-A) High School Basketball teams from all over Ontario to compete for the provincial title at our school.

Co-curriculars have a huge impact on an individual's high school experience—you know this from your own experience here. Woodland values these programs as we work toward enfolding, engaging, and equipping our students for lives of Christian faith and service. Competing at an OFSAA event is significant, and we recognize that we got here by standing on the shoulders of our past athletes. 

Our Alumni are the ones who dribbled the lane for us. It was you who started the basketball program at Woodland. You changed us from a varsity team into Junior and Senior and from competing in D4 to D8. We first appeared at OFSAA in 2012 and then five times since. 

Your legacy lives on through staff and building changes, and we want to recognize the people who brought us to this point. So let’s celebrate!

In addition, there are quite a few aspects to organizing an OFSAA event. One of these aspects is providing a high-level event that is financially sustainable for competing teams to attend. We would love your support in welcoming all the athletes by helping offset the entire event.  For example: 

  • A tax-deductible donation of $25 would cover an athlete's meal OR you could come together as an Alumni team (ex. 2009) and donate a collective amount to support a visiting team at the banquet. We would honour your support on their banquet table.

  • $100 donation helps to support a game financially.

  • $______ for event and media streaming.
